Turn on the wireless router
The first step to reset a Belkin router is to turn it on. then plug a power cable jack into the back of the router. The other end should be plugged-in to a working outlet. This turns on the Belkin Router since the Router does not have any on or off or power switch.
Locate the reset hole
The second step is to find out the factory-reset hole. For this, first turn the Belkin Router where the back side of the router is facing you. In the back of the router, you can find a factory reset hole. It is located towards the left of the Internet or WAN port. Sometimes, this hole can be found at any one of the sides also.
After locating the reset hole, place a thumbtack or toothpick or any other pointed object into the factory reset hole for some time, say about one minute. The light on the router flashes when it completely resets the factory settings. The router will restart after one minute and reset the router’s settings back to the original factory settings or the default value.
