If the problem is with the Windows 7 Operating System, open the Run window by pressing the Windows key along with the letter R. Then, type 'nets hint ip reset log.txt' and click OK. After a black screen appears and disappears, restart the computer allowing Windows 7 to be fully loaded, then open Internet Explorer. This time the Internet should work.
