Swedish supplier, Aqeri, has launched a new rugged router for mobile applications. Aqeri 96103 router has been designed to fit in tight spaces under harsh working environments like construction sites, mining, military, etc. The portable design of the router is based on the prototype of Cisco 5919 Embedded Service Router.
Aqeri has been developing robust computer and communication equipment for various sectors like defense, industrial, automotive, and public safety, for almost 30 years. The latest compact router has been especially built to transmit signals from all kinds of working environments. “We envisage an increased demand for compact, rugged communications equipment for mobile applications,” said K A Koerfer, president, Aqeri.
Aqeri 96103 fulfils all the requirements according to the MIL-STD-461E and MIL-STD-810G Standards for functioning in harsh environments. It can withstand extreme temperatures from – 40°C to + 70°C. In spite of its compact size of 150 x 75 x 220 mm, it is equipped with an integrated switch, 2 x Fast Ethernet Routed ports, 3 x Fast Ethernet Switched ports, and a console port.
