Buffalo has launched a new router — AirStation WZR-1750H. It is equipped with the latest IEEE 802.11ac technology, which ensures optimal performance on the 5GHz bandwidth networks. The device can be highly useful for enterprises that have multi-systems environment.
Buffalo AirStation WZR-1750H router was demonstrated at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show (commonly known as CES) scheduled for January 10 – 13, at Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). At the booth no. 26122 in the South Hall of the LVCC, consumers were amazed to see that upto 1300 Mbps speed was displayed by the Buffalo router. The product is backward compatible with the predecessor 802.11a/b/g/n technologies and offers speeds upto 450 Mbps even on the 2.4 GHz bandwidth owing to the latest 2.4 GHz 3x3 802.11n radio equipped on the device. The capability, hence combined, sums upto a speed of 1750 Mbps, which is really a breakthrough when it comes to routing.
“Buffalo has always been at the forefront of wireless technology, proven by the delivery of the first Draft G and Draft N wireless products to the market. Delivering a cost-effective, high performance Wi-Fi solution that leverages the next generation 802.11ac technology is just part of Buffalo’s ongoing commitment to innovation, engineering excellence and enabling consumers to use current and future technology in the home and in the cloud,” said Hajime Nakai, chief executive officer, Buffalo.
The speed offered by IEEE 802.11ac technology on the 5 GHz network channel is almost three times faster than that of the 802.11n wireless technology. Moreover, Buffalo AirStation WZR-1750H router has a sleek and smudge-free design, indicator lights, four gigabit Ethernet ports, one USB port, and securely encrypted Wi-Fi configuration. Buffalo also announced the launch of WLI-TX4-1300 Media Bridge to connect any device, which is equipped with Ethernet (such as PCs, media streaming devices, gaming consoles, and TVs) to the 802.11ac network.
The product is expected to arrive in the markets sometime in the second quarter of this year. To read the press release, visit the official Buffalo website.
