Advancement in modern technology recently paved its route to the launch of the brand new router specializing in 3G features. Consolidated Gulf Co. (CGC) hosted the launch of the new device, known as MyZone router, in Qatar. MyZone, is a product of NetComm Ltd., a global developer of broadband technology.

Structure: MyZone is a compact and portable mobile 3G Wi-Fi router positioned between a 3G USB modem and a 3G router
Connectivity: MyZone has the ability to connect as many as six wireless appliances simultaneously including notebooks, smartphones, cameras and gaming consoles.
Battery and Power: The MyZone router has an integrated lithium-ion battery. With this battery at place, the router can deliver power for up to six hours of operation. When in the idle state, the MyZone router battery can keep it active for upto 40 hours. A micro USB cable comes along with the device. This allows the users to charge the battery power while maintaining a Wi-Fi signal.
Network: Internet connection is enabled by inserting a current 3G data SIM card into the device. A pre-paid or post-paid SIM card can also meet the purpose, considering the device is compatible with the same. MyZone router is compatible with most of the 3G networks in and outside Qatar. So, wherever there is mobile network coverage, users can access the Internet with this router.
Speed: MyZone has a download speed of up to 7.2 Mbps and an upload speed of 5.76 Mbps for large file transfers in Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
Additional features: The device simplifies the usage for the non-technical users by offering them an easy procedure for set-up and configuration.
Owing to its ability to connect to multiple devices at the same time, MyZone has earned the credit of being compared with the iPad from Apple. MyZone supports 3G Tri-band 850MHz, 1900MHz, and 2100MHz for local as well as international services, thus catering to higher levels of network and connectivity demands.
