Sierra Video Systems has released Aspen 3232 3G HD-SDI routing switcher
The technology behind routing switcher is getting more complex day by day. Aspen 3232, the latest 3G HD-SDI routing switcher launched by Sierra Video Systems is the most advanced multi-format switcher that can cover 3G signals over 500 meters.
Aspen 3232 is Sierra Video System’s first model in the line of its video 3G HD-SDI routing switchers. It can operate on 3G, HD-SDI and SDI signals on a bandwidth of 19 Mbps to 2.97 Gbps.
This compact-sized switcher takes up only 2RU in a standard equipment rack. It is ideal for various kinds of applications like video installation, higher education facilities, and even in broadcast and post production facilities.
Let us take a quick overview of the specifications of this multi-band routing switcher:
Format Flexibility: It can operate on all kinds of SMPTE serial digital video signal formats on all the inputs. SMPTE 424M, SMPTE 259M, SMPTE 344M and DVB-ASI formats are compatible with a bandwidth of up to 540 Mbps.
Output Re-clocking Facility: Since it is equipped with output re-clocking circuitry, the users can have a much convenient control over the Input Equalization.
Front Panel Control Lockout: It can still be operable while repairing, as it has a lockout for the front panel control, which can also maintain an option of redundant power supply.
Energy Efficiency: The switcher is highly energy efficient, as it requires less than 32 Watts, even after the power consumed by its control system and front control panel.
After the launch of Aspen 3232, Sierra Video Systems has a line of various models of routing switcher to be introduced in the coming months.
