Wireless router is a device used for determining which is the next network point to which the packet is to be sent for forwarding it to the destination. For specifying the starting IP address, number of users and the lease time the user can get into the DHCP settings because DHCP server assigns an IP address to the computers in the users wireless network automatically.

Basic wireless settings

For the proper functioning of the devices in the wireless network they must use same channel. There is an option for detecting the wireless clients. This is done by enabling the wireless SSID broadcast feature.
Connect the computer and the wireless router using an Ethernet cable for securely adjusting the settings of the wireless router. Now open the web browser in your system and enter the IP address of your router which is in the router’s manual in the URL field or type 184.108.40.206 in the URL address field. This is the default IP address of most routers. Now type the username and password of your wireless router. You can get this form the router’s manual or by checking in routerpasswords.com with the brand and model of your router. After entering the username and password the user can see the wireless router settings.
