TP-LINK TL-R860 is a Multifunctional Broadband Router from TP-Link. The Cable/DSL Router comes with a WAN port and 8 LAN ports. It comes with powerful functions, superior performance, and easy-to-setup router. It has features like DHCP server, virtual server, DMZ host, firewall, etc. that allow better managing of networks. Other features include Parental Control, IEEE 802.1x Authentication, UPnP, DDNS, VPN Pass-through, and many more.
TP-LINK TL-R860 is mainly designed for small office and home office to access the Internet. It can be used for sharing data over a network or for accessing the Internet. It can support access controls based on day time. It offers flexible control options for the users to limit the usage of Internet with some selected websites only.

TP-LINK TL-R860 provides options for forwarding data and information. The forwarding rules include a Virtual Server that can forward the incoming requests to a virtual server on the network. Static Routing uses same routes for forwarding packets/files. The UPnP feature allows the PCs, gateways, access points, etc. to identify each other on the network and establish services like file transfer.
The router offers better security measures for worry free usage of Internet or other network services. The firewall in the router is the most important security feature that filters MAC Addresses and Domain Names. It also protects the PCs from Denial of Service attacks.
